PROTEC at the Arab Health in Dubai
Interview with Marvin Karger, Customer Service & Marketing, PROTEC GmbH & Co, KG
As every year, the most important event of the health industry in the MENA-region will take place in the desert metropolis of Dubai – this year PROTEC will also be taking part again! Arab Health offers the perfect setting to cultivate and establish contacts in this important region. Together with a new Area Sales Manager, who is responsible for supporting the region, PROTEC once again presents a stand worth seeing, SA.D57, at Saeed Hall.
In this interview, Marvin Karger explains the importance of Arab Health and the MENA region for PROTEC, which goals the company has this year for the trade fair and why the PROTEC stand is definitely worth a visit.
Mr. Karger, which role does Arab Health play for PROTEC?
Karger: As Arab Health covers the entire range of the MENA region, the trade fair is of great importance to us and holds a firm place in our annual trade fair calendar. Arab Health also offers many of our customers a welcome alternative to the major European trade fairs for which they would have to undergo complicated visa application processes. For this reason, we meet customers and interested parties from all over the world in Dubai.
Do you have any specific goals for Arab Health this year?
Karger: As at MEDICA last year, we are looking forward to presenting our new product, the motorized complete X-ray system PRS 500 B with autotracking functions. This will also be our focus at Arab Health. The main goal is, of course, to present our company and products to all interested parties. We are also looking forward to a personal exchange with our customers and new contacts.
Which customer group do you mainly find there?
Karger: We mainly meet dealers from the MENA region and other African countries. In addition, a congress with various lectures will be held at Arab Health, which means that we also expect some end customers such as doctors and researchers.
How important is the market of the MENA region for PROTEC in general?
Karger: For us, the MENA region is an important and upcoming sales region in which we have had many contacts for years. We have already achieved high sales figures with our X-ray film processing machines there. Now it is our goal to better promote our X-ray systems there as well. The "Made in Germany - quality and reliability" label is still very much appreciated there, which is why we see great potential for our products in the region. Last year Iyad Ghanem joined our sales team as Area Sales Manager for the Middle East and Africa. In order to increase our local presence, he operates directly from Dubai and is thus able to support our sales network a bit more easily than we were previously from distant Germany.
How exactly will the stand be set up there?
Karger: In the center of the joint stand there is a lounge where meetings can be held. As part of this GHE joint stand, we and other members will be surrounding this lounge with our stands.
Why should customers definitely come to your stand?
Karger: Customers can get to know us and our products personally there and receive extensive advice from our commercial director Björn Salwat and our Area Sales Manager Iyad Ghanem. In addition, anyone interested can convince themselves of the intuitive usability of our digital solutions via our software work stations.
