The PROTEC team is pleased to announce that PROTEC, based in Oberstenfeld, has joined the Reinsberg Group, which holds all of PROTEC’s shares, effective July 1, 2025.
The Reinsberg Group is a MedTech holding company based in Prague with the strategy of building a strong group of independent European medical device manufacturers and leveraging their capabilities to achieve economies of scale in the global consolidation of the medical industry.
As a performance-oriented organization with a strong commitment to excellence, our new parent company will support PROTEC’s continued development with a clear focus on long-term, sustainable growth.
As part of this transition, PROTEC will remain an independent company operating from its headquarters in Oberstenfeld. With the change of ownership, we have also updated our legal form – our company will operate as PROTEC X-ray Systems GmbH (formerly PROTEC GmbH & Co.KG) effective July 1, 2025. Our entire management team remains in place and is fully committed to maintaining the high level of service and reliability you expect from us. The management team will be complemented by Dr. Markus Keussen, CEO of the Reinsberg Group, as the new Managing Director of PROTEC. Mr. Frank Baisch will continue his role as Managing Director in the new company, thus ensuring continuity. Mr. Erhard Fichtner and the Fichtner family will resign from PROTEC as shareholders and Managing Directors.
This new chapter of PROTEC is supported by the Reinsberg Group’s strategic investments in product innovations, the expansion of the distribution network and advanced manufacturing technologies – all of which will help us emerge dynamically from the crisis, grow more efficiently and better serve our partners and customers.
